were is ranks saved?

recently a lot of people are losing their hard earned ranks and unlocks
there PC crashes or something happens and next time they login their reset back to 1

so this clearly means that the rank is not stored on IWnet but locally. does any body know here it is, that way we can make a back up of it just in case. If you do find out please post it here thx in advance.

player profile folder you will see it in there mp saved something



C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players

I thought it was stored on IWnet, I have my same rank and classes on both my laptop and desktop...

could be temporary saved on IWnet and might be that steam is updating your player-folder.

make sure you backup your 'players' folder!

That's the file in the players folder where your ranks are. But it doesn't really matter since Steam Cloud will save your ranks.
