MW2 Dedicated Servers

Well there are guys working on it it constantly, trying to get dedi server back

so far so good, they have managed to crack console and get it running in game. with a few commands, most of the dvars are still there

a lot off cod for the game features like lean and dedis server are still there just disabled and not linked as they put in sxbox code into it.

so far they have a dedicated server running and working on gettin computers to connect to it.

I found a bypass where you dont need to be signed into steam :)
When i install i didnt need to put in CD key

my bad, anyway they did patch it:

It seems IW made a small patch to 'fix' the console
The problem though now is that because everybody (legit players) have updated their versions, we cannot find a game (or hardly find one).
There are almost only pirates left on version 1.0.1.5.9 and no pirated copy can host a game..

The only solution to this is to get the modified gamefiles and cracked .exe as soon as possible.
I'll keep you guys updated.

Now, some of those code-savvy complainers have reportedly recreated a dedicated server experience by unlocking the game's developer consoler.

IWNet currently still recognizes the servers as "ranked" and "legal," according to Destructoid (http://www.destructoid.com/modern-warfare-2-gets-dedicated-servers-via-hack-155250.phtml). A video posted of the altered gameplay shows the developer console in action that led to the breakthrough.
A response from Activision and/or Infinity Wards can't be far behind, particularly if the console discovery leads to further gameplay hacks (http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/11/11/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2-already-hacked/) and cheats. Yup. You read that right. Modern Warfare 2 PC now has dedicated servers.
Wait, PC gamers! Before you send Bobby Kotick a thank you letter, know that it wasn't they who did it, but rather the gamers who took Infinity Ward and Activition's attempts to lock down the game as a challenge. And bring it those gamers did, managing to hack in the developer console and enable the ability to set up dedicated servers. Keep in mind, the game hasn't even been out a week.
Perhaps some of the boycotters caught playing the game (http://www.destructoid.com/this-is-what-the-modern-warfare-2-boycotters-are-playing-154944.phtml) were not being hypocrites, but rather hard at work turning the highest-profile shafting of PC gamers right around, as the video below might demonstrate.
Of course, the darker side to all this newfound freedom is the ability to use it to cheat (http://www.destructoid.com/big-surprise-modern-warfare-2-already-hacked-154854.phtml), and the servers that have been set up so far are all "ranked" and still considered "legal" by IWNet, Modern Warfare 2's console-esque matchmaking service.
Folks who like their games in "vanilla" flavor only shouldn't despair though. lol I still play on my own, get lag sometimes but its not so bad because i set my maxping to 150 in the config file! plus I turned on the lagometer so i can watch the lag too, but dedicated servers would make it more fun!

First of all, there won’t be any release today, but an update on the progress. The Q&A will be udpated tomorrow morning.
Things done:


Console for any version of the game (mp/sp/updates)
Research related to Steam-less mode
Dedicated server mode for iw4mp.exe (kind of), with kick/ban/map rotation

Please stop coming to irc to hang around waiting for the release, it’s NOT coming anytime soon, there’s still a lot of work to do.

So if I am reading this right, then they are going to have a patch for dedicated servers? or cracked ones? That will be sweet! I know I am behind on wtf is going on, but can someone explain to me about this mw2 crack thing for no steam and what not.

Get over it guys no they are not going to have a patch out so you can play on line if you download the game this site and the people behind the site was lying to you all just to drive traffic to their site. If it was going to happen it would have already have happen. Break down go push some snow around or mow a lawn or 2 and get a legal copy. Because even if you get a crack for it they will have it blocked in a few days.

As for dedicate that may happen but not for some time shit it took them almost 2 years to get counter strike dedicate cracks and same with BF2 and they still are not 100% you can not get ranks in cracked servers. So as you can see it is best just to break down and get the game if you really want to play online.
