Well I dont know about you guys, but i lag ALOT in the server. Why is there no max ping set to the server? Somtimes ppl come in with a ping of over 300 and its hard 2 kill them cuzz they lag so much.

yeah i have wonder that also, i have even asked snake and at some point the server had pin limit, i guess that when he switch the server to hardcore he forgot to place the pin limit.

of course it has ping limit, its 199

the problem comes when people with 199 connects, once inside the server they will really be like 250 or more, but if we set max ping for like 150, we will lose a lot traffic

Well, i was talkin about ppl with a ping that wouldnt even go down to 200. One time i remember seeing a bunch of ppl with a 400 ping, it was ridiculous. Funny, on my server I find that I send a much higher ping when connecting than when I am actually playing http://www.flyingright.net/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif For example, server max ping is 180 but I almost always am playing at well below that yet half the time when I first start CoD4 and connect I get denied entry into it because it says my ping is too high.

well people sometimes mess with their FPS settings in cfg file trying to improve their results for smoother gameplay...many times they get the opposite efect and really i mean really lagg much(sometimes people are like invisible, you know what i mean i guess you saw it on map sometimes) o yeah i wish that FPS is only thing that people are changin in cfg file...i cant wait for new update http://www.flyingright.net/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

Max Ping is now 180 if you are a jointops member and can not get in you will have to contact a admin to increase the maxping then when you are in to lower it back to 180 please if you get this is a low ping server now we are only allowing JointOps members to play with pings higher then 180


In another note with the mass amount of players we have had on the server I have close down the other server for now until I can work on it and I have made the Main server a 48 man server with 8 private slots for JointOps players to connect at any time. If you do not know the password please feel free to contact me I will give it to you. BUt again only JointOps members

OMG my ping before connecting/playing was always about 150-160 and about 170-180 while playing.
Now i havent got lower pings then 200, actually the average is 230.. No chance to get in...
Why is this? Oh and I think this can be the reason for the number of currently online players (0/48)

adam ping trouble most be on your end my ping is the same and not sure when you looked but most of the day yesterday when i looked it had 15 plus in it. look at this page it will show you the hour hours.

thx snake the problem seems to be solved now, i have no clue what it was, cuz i had the usual ping to other servers but not to this one...
