He was never been under contract with the UFC he did challenge the fighters of Pride and EliteXC and Bodog. This is why he is going on the Ultimate fighter to get a contract with the UFC. I thought he was part of the UFC as well but after looking up all his fights he has never been under the UFC name.

Last month, when asked about the EliteXC main event of Kimbo Slice vs. Ken Shamrock, UFC President Dana White said this:

"Ken is way past his prime. It gets to the point where it&#39;s dangerous for that guy to still be fighting. That being said, he still might beat Kimbo. Kimbo sucks."

Ladies and gentlemen, when the man has a point, the man has a point.

There&#39;s simply no two ways about it: Kimbo Slice sucks at the sport of mixed martial arts. Is he tougher than the average guy at the next barstool? Sure. That doesn&#39;t mean he&#39;s an elite athlete.

As it turned out, Kimbo didn&#39;t fight Shamrock. Instead, he fought a guy named Seth Petruzelli, a onetime Ultimate Fighter cast member who sent 0-2 in his brief UFC career. Petruzelli is 30 pounds lighter than Kimbo, and all it took was 14 seconds for Petruzelli to knock Kimbo out.

Kimbo seems like a nice guy and was a good sport about it after he lost. But make no mistake: He sucks at MMA.




KIMBO SLICE has vowed to ram Dana White&#39;s criticism down his throat by winning season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter.

The former Elite XC star has been handed a place on the hit reality TV series in a move which has stunned UFC fans and the mixed martial arts community.

UFC president White has continually derided Slice for his lack of jiu-jitsu and wrestling ability, claiming the 35-year-old "would get murdered" if he ever fought inside the Octagon.

But Slice will now take his place as one of 16 heavyweights battling it out for a six-figure contract with the UFC later this year.

And he has pledged to silence White and the rest of his critics once and for all by winning a full-time contract with the world&#39;s leading mixed martial arts promotion.

Slice said: "It&#39;s an opportunity for me to prove myself and show that I can be a mixed martial artist.

"I&#39;ve come from the backyard and been a street fighter but it&#39;s time to step my game up.

"A lot of people have a lot of questions about if I can fight mixed martial arts style - how good is my ground game and all that bulls*** - but I&#39;m coming in to prove myself.

"I&#39;m coming in to kick ass, take names and continue to feed myself and my family - that&#39;s what it&#39;s all about with me."

White last year claimed he would pit 155lb star BJ Penn - the lightweight champion - against 235lb Slice if he were to ever fight in the UFC.

He said: "You know what would happen if Kimbo fought in the UFC? I&#39;d put him in against B.J. Penn, and he would get annihilated.

"Kimbo has no credibility at all in MMA. I am telling you, BJ Penn would beat him."

But Slice is adamant he can cut it in the MMA big league with the UFC and has sworn to prove the UFC supreme wrong.

When asked about White&#39;s disparaging remarks, Slice added: "It&#39;s all good. DW can say whatever the f*** he wants as far as I&#39;m concerned.

"With all the s*** that he&#39;s saying, the greatest revenge - to my knowledge - is success. That&#39;s the only thing I&#39;ve got to say about that.

"I don&#39;t care about the s*** talking and all the s*** talkers. Whoever you are, if you want to see me, see me.

"So evidently, he wasn&#39;t willing to step to the plate but he&#39;s going to put me up against whoever and that&#39;s how I look at it.

"In a sense, it motivates me. Put his best man in there - if I&#39;ve got to run through whoever I&#39;ve got to run through just to prove myself, then that&#39;s what I&#39;ve got to do

No No the times you seen him in the octagon it was not for UFC and no this is not old new&#39;s it is only a few weeks old. They just let out that he is going to be on Ultimate fighter 10.

All of this has taken place sense Kimbo was suppose to fight Shamrock 2 months ago but Shamrock was told he could not fight due to a wrest injury. That was all in EliteXC that ShowTime fight owns nothing to do with UFC. Then Kimbo&#39;s other matches was in Pride fighting but sense then EliteXC has merged with Pride fighting they bought them from HDNET Networks and now ShowTime/CBS owns both of those fight clubs. They are all running under EliteXC now so you only have really 3 big boys in MMA

Kimbo has fought in BoDog,Pride/EliteXC /Strikeforce only

But now that you have TapOut pushing cross matches alot now because they have fighters in all 3 major players in MMA along with some of the smalling MMA fighting networks.


I have been watching this for over 20 years now. I also watch EliteXC and UFC i used to watch Pride until the merge. Only reason I have ShowTime is to watch the fights. I am watching one as i type this First EliteXC match that 2 woman are head ling
